Ceramic 8 Magnet Block, AKA Ferrite Magnet Block, is a permanent magnet that is very strong and has 24 SQ Inches of magnetic surface on each N and S pole. The large flat surfaces are the poles, one side is North and the other is South. Ceramic Magnets are made of iron oxide and strontium carbonate and are used for many things including craft, hobby and refrigerator. ~45 lbs pull. 3900 Gauss Br, Magnetized through the 1" thickness, High Quality. These are very fragile magnets and may come with small chips around the edges of the magnet...this is just the nature of this type of magnet. The chips can occur when removing from the mold, during heat treat or during shipping and handling. **Be very careful with these!
